What can I request a test for?
Currently you can request a test for parts of the hemp flower and other plant parts, cannabinoid-containing oils such as CBD oil, resins, extracts and isolates.
What can I not test for?
"Special sample materials" are samples that require more complex sample processing due to their components. Cosmetics, edible products, beverages and vape pens require special treatment such as separation of polysaccharides and other long-chain molecules, alternative homogenisation, recovery of residues from cartridges, etc.
"Conversion products" are hemp products that contain synthetic cannabinoids such as HHC, H4CBD, THCO, CBND, etc. in addition to naturally occurring cannabinoids such as CBD, CBG, THC and others. The "conversion" of medicinal plants into (semi-)synthetic cannabinoids almost always results in undesirable by-products, which are then contained in the end product intended for sale. Special processing and measurement procedures are used for these "conversion products", which are applied to another product to ensure the integrity of our measurements and to confirm parameters that are crucial for the legality of a product (e.g. Δ9-THC) through a range of analytical methods.
What does the test result contain?
Analysis via GC-FID method for beta-myrcene, caryophyllene oxides,

The Institute for Hemp Analysis is a private chemical laboratory. We can help anyone who needs a quick, easy and inexpensive certificate of analysis for their hemp product.
We support you in certifying the legality and quality of your products. We place particular emphasis on the identification of all types of terpenes.
We carry out precise and reliable analyses of the samples submitted. Depending on whether you have analysed plant parts, oils, isolates, e-liquids or similar - we offer you a procedure that is precisely tailored to the sample material and ensures the reliability of the analysis.
We can currently identify 29 different terpenes from your sample.
In 2018, we expanded our laboratory with state-of-the-art analysis and extraction systems that are optimised for the analysis of plants and plant products.
We work hard to provide our customers with the best possible quality of analyses. In June 2021, our quality management was reviewed by an audit and we were certified according to ISO 9001:2015.
The Institut für Hanfanalytik participates in the Emerald Test™ every year. In this proficiency testing programme for the US cannabis industry, our analyses are validated with blank samples in the categories of plant samples (hemp bud strength) as well as oils and extracts (oil strength) and compared with other international laboratories.
The hemp analysis laboratory is in no way dependent on public institutions. All data is treated as strictly confidential and is not passed on to third parties.
