If the flowers are stored in a storage box with a Boveda pack after harvesting and the humidity drops, Boveda releases moisture; if the humidity rises, it absorbs excess moisture.
In this way, the flowers ripen and are stored safely after harvesting, as they do not dry out and the flavours are preserved. They look as if they have just been picked from the garden. Boveda guarantees a constant humidity of 62%, which does not fluctuate.
No distilled water or other liquid is required.
The Boveda humidifiers are bi-directional, i.e. if there is too much humidity, it is removed, and if it is too dry, it is added again. It maintains the optimum humidity level.
This is due to the reverse osmosis membrane.
This technology was first used by the navy to obtain drinking water from salt water, but is now widely used in the western world as a drinking water treatment technology. The wealthier countries of the Middle East are now also using this technology to obtain their drinking water from the sea. Bottled RO (reverse osmosis) drinking water is already in circulation in Asia.
Each Boveda is filled with a specially prepared solution of pure water saturated with natural salts.
Each humidifier is individually wrapped.
