The many good qualities of industrial hemp make it one of the most economical crops, and with the help of innovative technology and tradition, a new ORGANIC BUILDING MATERIAL is born - HEMP-BRICK.
Made exclusively from natural materials, it provides a healthy living environment!
When building with hemp bricks, the activity requires no special tools or skills and is therefore widely applicable.
A trained construction professional can use it without any problems and without any special training.
The product has more favourable physical parameters and will therefore be comparable in price to competing products on the market.
Technical data:
Load-bearing masonry element is made in three sizes ( 50 x 25 x 25 cm / 38 x 25 x 25 cm / 30 x 25 x 25 cm-est size) with groove and field construction.
In terms of shape, it can be assembled in a modular way with any competing product.
Physically, the weight of a block is 16,5 kg and is therefore the lightest product on the market.
The average compressive strength d = 7,8 N/mm² (Reg. Min. compressive strength (fb :5 N/mm²).
It has excellent thermal insulation properties!
Thermal conductivity λ = 0,14 W/mK (complies with current thermal building standards, even without external thermal insulation)
Thermal transmittance U = 0,33 W/m²K.
Non flammable. Th = 4,5 hours.
Advantages of hemp building materials:
- fast growing and local raw material
- 100% organic and natural
- environmentally friendly
- durable and sustainable
- recyclable
- strong
- no gassing, no solvents, no fumes
- fire resistant (lime is non-flammable, which increases building safety)
- highly waterproof
- does not mould
- repels vermin, insects, rodents and pests
- electrosmog shielding layer
- antistatic
- great thermal insulator (has high phase shift resistance and contains a high amount of thermal mass)
- breathable walls (passive self-regulation of temperature and humidity)
- pleasant acoustics and sound insulation
- non-toxic
- easy and safe to work with
- ionisation (odours - toxins) hempcrete can break down persistent odour molecules by absorbing and dissolving them. This leads to a shortening of the sense of smell.
