MYCOSHELL contains a high concentration of arbuscular mycorrhiza (endomycorrhiza), which accelerates the development of young plants and reduces the stress effect after transplanting, accelerates nutrient uptake and acts as a protective shield against pathogens and diseases that would slow down the plant's development and disrupt its metabolic balance.
MYCOSHELL plays an important role in strengthening the plant's resistance to infections by inhibiting the multiplication of pathogens and activating the plant's own defence mechanisms.
The mycorrhizae in MYCOSHELL increase the plant's uptake of nutrients and water in two ways:
They exponentially increase the volume of soil around the root, which is interspersed with mycelium (fungal filaments), forming a long hyphal filament system that gives the plant access to nutrients and water that it would not have as a single plant. This promotes nutrient and water transport, increases the volume of root-permeable soil and increases the uptake of nitrogen and otherwise slow-moving, difficult-to-absorb phosphorus and other nutrients.
Increases the solubility and release of mineral phosphorus and nitrogen from organic matter.
MYCOSHELL should be applied to the root zone to promote early root development and mycorrhizal contact.
